Cantina Ortaccio. Lazio, Italy

Morning hikes and afternoon naps. Evening strolls that seemed to have no point and held so much meaning. A take one daily-approach to cornetti, only one of us offended the local sensibility with a standing 3 o’clock cappuccino order. Last August we changed diapers in six of Italy’s 21 regions. My kids saw me arguing with the carabinnieri in very passable Italian. Of all of the memories made it was breaking bread in lake Bolsena with Cantina Ortaccio that I most cherish and why Starr feels more alive when Massimo and Patrizia’s wines grace our shelves.
