When Laurent Lebled found himself unemployed after 30+ years working as a wood merchant, wine was the furthest thing from his mind. Fortunately, two of his childhood friends— Sébastien Bobinet and Patrick Corbineau— were rising stars in the natural wine movement. Laurent was reticent, but his friends promised to teach him all they knew about viticulture and winemaking. It seemed like a longshot, but without any other prospects Laurent took the plunge. The first vintage of A La Votre was 2010. Since then Laurent has grown to become a recognizable figure in the natural wine world and has even seen his daughter Barbara make a name for herself as a vigneron. Not bad for a second act!
